Find OEM Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Parts for Your Next Project at Shottenkirk Mount Pleasant

Whether you need to replace a part in your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle that is on its way out to keep your ride in excellent shape or you have a DIY customization project in the works so you can make your vehicle feel even more like your own, it helps to have the right parts handy.  Fortunately, if you're in need of quality original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts for your vehicle, you can find a well-stocked inventory here at our Parts Department at Shottenkirk Mount Pleasant.  We carry a wide variety of excellent OEM parts for just about any project or repair.

Why buy OEM parts?

When it comes to helping your vehicle perform at its best, no one knows your car, truck, or SUV better than the manufacturer that made it.  OEM parts are designed by your vehicle's manufacturer for the sole purpose of working in your specific type of vehicle, so nothing will guarantee quality or a perfect fit quite like an OEM part.

It's not just about a tailor-made fit, however.  Because OEM parts are made for your vehicle, it's a lot easier to find the right part.  You won't waste time or money searching for a suitable off-brand part that may or may not even do what you need it to do.  Furthermore, OEM parts are protected by warranty -- something off-brand parts don't always promise.  In fact, off-brand parts may actually void the warranty on your vehicle.

What sorts of parts are available at Shottenkirk Mount Pleasant?

We keep our inventory stocked with all sorts of genuine Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram parts to suit your needs. Whether you plan to install the parts yourself or you want to enlist the help of our service center, we can help you find what you need.

Here are just a few of the high-quality OEM parts that you can find at our Parts Center:

  • Radiators:  As a heat exchangers, the Radiator is a part of your vehicle's cooling system. When you run your engine, coolant is running through it and is heating up. As air passes through your radiator, it brings the temperature of your coolant down. When the coolant temperature goes down, it can then be pumped back through the engine to do its job.
  • Shocks and Struts: Does your vehicle roll or sway on turns? Does the front dive when you break and the rear dip when you accelerate? It might be time for some new shocks or springs. Not all vehicles have both shocks and struts. Some only have one or the other. Your shocks are part of your overall suspension while your struts are a complete suspension assembly. Their primary function is to hinder spring vibration and aid in controlling your ride. Worn shocks or struts can wear your tires and other suspension parts faster so it is important to pick up on the signs of worn shocks and structs and have them replaced!
  • Catalytic Converters:  Maintaining catalytic converter is an important part of maintaining the environment. This is because the catalytic converter is an exhaust emission control device that converts exhaust gas into a less toxic pollutant. Ask one of our expertly-trained service technicians about your catalytic converter and if it needs to be replaced we can order the part for you and service it for you!
  • Brake Pads: Worn brake pads squeak but they can cause more than just an annoying sound. If you do not service your brakes, they will have a poor brake response and you lose a certain amount of control and safety on the road. Squeaking is also only one sign that you need to replace your brake pads. Another sign is excess brake dust around the brake pads. You can even check to see if the friction pad on your brake pads is worn down. If it is, it is time to service your vehicle!
  • Brake Discs: Your brake discs are what your brake pads rub against to cause friction and eventually stop your vehicle. The symptoms of worn brake discs are similar to worn brake pads. Your vehicle brakes will squeak, your car may vibrate and braking may be more difficult. If any of these issues arise then you should check your brake immediately. If you are checking your brakes yourself and you have been using your vehicle then you need to let the brakes cool before handling them.
  • Fuel Pumps: A fuel pump that needs changing gives off a few signs. One of the signs is a sputtering engine. Another sign, that you may or may not notice, is that you get fewer miles per gallon when you drive. If this is the case, check out our service center to see if you need to replace your fuel pump.
  • Control Arms: This essential part controls the motion of your wheels so they are in line with your vehicle's body. When you hit a bump in the road, the control arm is what compresses the weight and keeps the bottom of your tire in place. Control arms tend to wear between 90,000 and 100,000 miles. A clear sign that they need to be replaced is hearing a banging noise when you drive over large bumps. While the parts and labor for replacing the control arms can be costly, it is important to replace them when needed or else a larger issue can ensue.
  • Oxygen Sensors: Is your check engine light on? If it's not a loose gas cap then it's an oxygen sensor that needs replacing. This part is a piece of your vehicle's emissions control system and is about the size of a spark plug. It determines how much oxygen is in your exhaust and adjusts the amount of fuel you use for the engine to run at maximum efficiency.
  • Air Filters: Air filters are cheap to replace and are essential for making your engine run. For an engine to run efficiently, the air that it takes in to mix with the gas need to be as clean as possible. This part filters the air so that the air that goes into your engine is clean of any dirt, pollen or other pollutants. Not only does this prolong your engine life but it also increases your fuel efficiency. Check with our friendly staff to see if you need to replace your air filter!
  • Ignition Coils: Is your car not starting? When it does start, does it misfire or is your check engine light on? The issue may not be the battery but the ignition coil. This part creates a spark that ignites your fuel and is need to make your engine run. If it is worn, it can cause damage to other parts of your vehicle. Order a new ignition coil at our parts center and get your vehicle back on the road.
